Beyond Cute

I've been meaning to do this post for quite some time now.  I always talk about all my amazingly talented friends, well I've got another that I've been meaning to add to the list.  Kimberli Krippner, who just happens to be (follow me here) my brother's girlfriend's mom, is super talented!  She's made some adorable stuff for Georgia already, but a few weeks ago she made this awesome shirt for the Bean!
I can't get over it!  She's definitely wearing this even after Halloween!
She's got a lot of cute things on her website that she makes and all the clothes have been super soft.  Call her or email her.  I'm still trying to talk her into opening an etsy account!
{again, sorry for the phone camera}

I Totally Forgot

... how MUCH i love baking!  I adore everything about baking; using my mixer, cracking the eggs on the bowl, licking the batter from the bottom of the bowl, and then hearing the beeper go off only to pull out a beautifully puffed tray of cupcakes or cookies.  Yeah, i told you, I love baking.  Now, don't get this confused with cooking.  I wish I was the cook my mother and some of my friends are.  I envy how good of a cook my sister-in-law is and they are always trying new recipes... I'll stick with making my Grams' lasagna (which I seem to be pretty good at) and cesar salad.

The whole time I was pregnant I couldn't even think about most food, much less make it, without getting sick.  My poor kitchen hardly got used for it's first few months of new life.  So needless to say it's been a while since I've been able to bake.

But the Amazing Anna made a pumpkin cake the other day and I was instantly inspired to bake something for the Halloween holiday.  So I figured I'd make some devil's food cupcakes with orange icing to be in the spirit!
And if you were wondering...yes, they taste amazing!!!
{again, I forgot to take a picture with the camera, so the phone had to do}

Happy Half Birthday, Bean!

Yesterday was Georgie's 6 month "Birthday"!  I mean, I'm pretty sure this has been the best 6 months of my life!  There are a million different things I could write about how much we love her or how amazing she has made our world, but I'll just post this unbelievably adorable video and let you see!
to see it, but I'm working on putting it right on this page!
This has been the most rewarding, challenging, beautiful, crazy time of our lives, but we wouldn't have traded one second of it!
Love, Love, and more LOVE!

Jumping Bean

The Jenny Jump Up has been, by far, one of the funniest things yet!  Georgia loves being able to move (although she loves being cuddled, too - she's pretty great like that), like pump the legs, wave the arms, get the whole body going!  So when we were asked what else she needed ( / wanted) we immediately said "a jumper!"  I'll be honest the first 3 or 4 days, she was quite confused.  She would look at us like, "My exersaucer is 10 feet away, why didn't you just put me in that instead of this harness!"
Well today was a whole new story.  I was fixing some lunch in the kitchen and all of the sudden i heard the spring just a bouncing!  She had done it!  Jason and I DIED laughing at how pleased she was with herself.  The Bean had figured out what the "harness" was for!
She's in love

Long time, No...post?!

Sorry for the blog delay, but we've been having so much fun lately!  A lot has happened in the last week and a half!  Jason got to take a WELL deserved vacation week, half of it in Charleston fishing, and the other half we went to the mountains in Lake Lure, NC.  Jason's sweet mom came up and helped me with the bean all week and I'm pretty sure they had an amazing time together.  Then when the weekend came my wonderful parents came up to watch her while i joined Jason and some of our friends in NC.
So, yeah, Georgia is now rotten, but we had fun!
She also has sprouted her first two teeth!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm working on a picture of that) plus she got a jumper! and she loves it!  I'll post more about that later.
{I took this with my phone}
Hope you've been doing just as good as we have!
LOVE
